The term '聖の酒 seishu' (holy wine) refers to a clear and refined Sake, as celebrated by the ancient Manyoshu poem. The brewery started making this sacred Sake in the natural environment of the southwestern foothills of Mt. Akagi in the Upstream region, where fireflies dance amidst the lush greenery. For 180 years and over eight generations, they have passed down their traditions and techniques.
