What’s EDOKIRIKO
Edo Kiriko is designated as the traditional handcrafts of the Metropolis of Tokyo and also the country, Japan. It is said to have started back in 1834, when Kyubei Kagaya of glass shop in Edo Odenmacho sculpted on glass surface.
Cut is very detailed, and finish is clear and brilliant. The patterns used in our collections are some of the most standard Japanese patterns. They are fine art with traditional and detailed craftsman’s technique that has been inherited continuously for a very long time.
KIMOTO GLASS TOKYO
Kimoto Glassware started in Asakusa 80 years ago, since then, we have kept to our principle “Keep traditional techniques and create the future of glassware”.
For over 80 years, we have been watching the market trend as a wholesaler. What do consumers demand in glass products? What elements differentiate products that sell and don’t. What is required in glass products that are admired by people nowadays?
Making full use of our outlook as a wholesaler, we will proceed in creating new world of glass product by striving together with downtown Tokyo’s handmade glass factories, Edo Kiriko craftsmen, designers, and creators.
