In Singapore, some innovative restaurants offer Sake to pair with their beautiful dishes.
BAM! and BRUTO are now very famous, and I finally found Meta Restaurant. Michelin 1 star proves the quality of taste in 2017 and 2018.
What’s special for SAKEMARU customers is all their Sake is SAKEMARU’s Sake. The head sommelier, Pierre selects SAKEMARU’s Sake and introduce the food pairing.

JAPANESE BONITO
Endive | Orange | Katsuobushi
Bonito is very fresh and the texture of the meat is creamy. Endive and orange promote its refreshing finish.
OYSTER GINGER
It’s difficult to tell with the picture, but the color of the sauce is fascinating like mixed paints on the palettes of painting. The Korean style sauce promotes the appetite.
BEETROOT
Foie Gras | Basil | Port Wine
Love the chef’s sense of art. The appearance is like a cute ghost of Ghostbusters. Firstly, I think Foie Gras is a bit too hard but it meant to be. The Foie Gras smoothly melts on top of your mouth and marriage with its sauce.
SPATCHCOCK
Green Pea | Dashi | Lily Bulb
The texture of the lily bulb makes this dish very special. The balance of soft and gentle sweetness and saltiness between green peas and Dashi sauce is marvelous. I was amazed at this combination and felt the Asian twists.
NZ RACK OF LAMB
Zucchini | Garlic Shoot | Black Bean
Lamb is cooked perfectly, medium rare. The texture of the meat is so tender and juicy. The milkiness of lamb pairs very much with the black bean and zucchini sauce.
TROPICAL SUMMER
Burnt Pineapple | Kiwi | Coconut
It’s very refreshing! If I can have this on the beach, any concerns must be blown away.
*TODAY’S PASTA
Another customer beside of me ordered this pasta, and it smells so yummy, then I ordered. Rich and condensed sauce of scallop coats slightly rough pasta and directly enjoy its strong Umami.
It reminds me of very decent ramen in a good way.
