Nagi

Shibuya is not just a hip place for young people. There is a lot of deep and underground cultural scene.
The real Sake movement is growing in this place.
Nagi is the standing Sake bar offering only Fukushima’s limited Sake. There are many limited editions only available for a few specialty shops.
The price of each glass is around 5-600 JPY. It’s a handy place to enjoy various limited Sake casually.
We haven’t had foods this time, but their meals are all designed for pairing with Sake. They are simple, but you can enjoy the high-quality ingredients.

IwakiKotobuki Junmaiginjo Natsugin

Tokyo was super hot, so it was nice to start with this summer limited Sake, which ABV is just 13%. It’s very light and refreshing, but the natural and gentle sweetness cooled my body down. The finish is crisp due to the sourness like lactic acid.

Hiroki Junmaiginjo Black Label

It’s spotless and Umami rich Sake, but the finish is crystal-clear. The balance of taste is far beyond the standard.

Tenmei Bange Yamada

This label is produced with the self-grown Yamadanishiki brewer’s rice. It used to be common to grow the rice in the north part of Japan because the climate is not suitable for the rice. This brewery started growing the rice in 2005 and improving its quality. The uniqueness of this Sake is its aroma. It’s very different and like the middle of mascot and steamed rice. I enjoyed the very juicy taste and fruity taste.
