Sake made by the Dom Pérignon’s Chef de Cave

The Dom Pérignon’s Chef de Cave, Richard Geoffroy has started producing his brand of sake in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. The brewery is located in the town of Tateyama, renowned for its breathtaking mountain ranges. Adjacent to the brewery is a rice field which is used to cultivate the same rice used to brew the sake.

The brand, named Shiroiwa 白岩, acquired its brewery license from a local brewery that took a break from sake production. The product is expected to be launched by year end 2018. The brand’s branding has been designed by renowned product designer Marc Andrew Newson.
