Mino Yaki / 美濃焼き
Mino yaki is the most popular pottery and accounts almost 50% of all the production quantity of pottery in Japan. It started around Mino area in Gifu prefecture in the 7th century and such a long-lasting history is quite unusual even worldwide. Mino yaki was designated as the Japanese traditional crafts by the government.
