Made with Gohyakumangoku rice from Fukui Prefecture, polished to 55%, this sake preserves the fresh flavor of freshly pressed genshu and is carefully pasteurized.
The refreshing aroma carries a light sweetness, reminiscent of young melon. On the palate, a bold spiciness is balanced by rich, refined umami and a hint of sweetness. Among Kokuryu’s offerings, this sake is designed to be the driest, with a sake meter value of +9.5. Upon swallowing, a soft umami and gentle acidity linger, leaving a pleasant aftertaste.
